Gods&Monsters: The Slayers of Decadence Episode 3

Ryan from Rag-NERD-rok is GMing another great game of Gods&Monsters for us this week!

Zun-Quib-Slay worked hard to repair some damaged relationships, and in the process invented mosquitoes. Jotharis worked hard to solve the problem of the void, and things only escalated from there!
Also; one of our gods is pregnant, can you guess which one?

Gods&Monsters: The Slayers of Decadence Episode 2

Ryan from Rag-NERD-rok GMs another great game of Gods & Monsters for us this week! Sadly, the second half of the last adventure didn’t record properly, but we recapped it at the beginning. There was also some distortion in Ryan’s mic for the first 10 minutes of the recording.

But forget about all that, cause we’ve got a new PC god of knowledge and light. We’ve got dad gods doing dad things. Gods brawling in the streets. Giant lion turtles, and much more for you in this action packed two hour game!

Atomic Robo: What In The World Is Dr. Dinosaur Doing?

Aaron ran another Atomic Robo one shot for the RPPR patreon backers. If you like to hear more from Role Playing Public Radio you can listen to their discussion based gaming theory podcast, or their actual play podcast by clicking on the links provided. You can also read the Atomic Robo comics on their website!
Anyway; here’s the plot hook.

The eccentric and unpredictable Dr. Dinosaur has long been a pain in the collective backside of the scientific community. For over two decades he has constantly makes threats to destroy scientific facilities (such as the LHC at CERN). Though largely ineffective (and usually a victim of his own insane plans or Tesladyne interference), the sanity-challenged sauropod has seemingly completed a series of fairly complicated heists in the last few months. These thefts have included bio-samples from a Harvard genetics lab, outdated industrial capacitors from a Edision Electrical junkyard and oddly enough an entire truckload of Cherry Coke from a Mid-Western bottling plant. Oddly enough, the Doctor has managed to slip in and complete his crimes almost completely undetected. The only evidence is security footage that seemingly is ignored until it is reviewed the next day. Unsure of what Dr. Dinosaur plans to do with these thefts but aware that it could spell disaster when utilized with his unique brand of ‘science’, the intrepid action scientists of Tesladyne have been dispatched to track down the mad lizard and stop his latest experiments.

Gods&Monsters: The Slayers of Decadence Episode 1

This is the beginning of our new online campaign. We’ll be playing the FATE supplement Gods&Monsters. It’s a game of mythic proportions where the players act as gods within a pantheon, forging their legend! There will be a lot of new players, and the GM for this game is Ryan, who some of you might know from Rag-NERD-rok.

We recorded this over Skype using new software so please excuse any breathing or strange audio, we are still tweaking our settings.

Base Raiders: Return of the Robot Assassin (Presented by RPPR)

We’ve got another RPPR Patreon game for you all this week. This time though it is the super-powered RPG Base Raiders, a game about picking up the pieces after the world’s most powerful heroes and villains vanished! It’s also about looting the shit out of abandoned super-hideouts! If you’d like to check out Base Raiders it’s available on DriveThru RPG.
You can also find Actual Plays from the creator of the game by clicking on this link right here!

So, here’s the hook:
While looking into increased activities within the NYC criminal rings the hero, inventor Iconoclast discovers two disturbing facts. One, there seems to be a rise in casualties on all sides that the gangs are not talking about; specifically with Luytein refugees that have been “recruited” as specialised enforcers. And two, it appears that these Luytein enforcers have had the majority of their cybernetic implants stripped. Researching further into the attacks, Iconoclast finds CCTV footage of one of the attacks, revealing the perpetrator to be the hero know as the Steel Centurion. Realising that the Steel Centurion has either gone rogue or someone else has acquired the armour, Iconoclast calls on four local Base Raiders to find out why the one-time hero has had a change of heart and what he plans to do with the stolen Luytein technology.

Atomic Robo – Edison’s Array (Presented by RPPR)

This is another game online game that Role Playing Public Radio put on for its Patreon backers. Thank You to Aaron for GMing.

Anyway; here’s the set up.
It’s the mystery of the new century for the Fightin’ Scientists of Tesladyne! A thief (or team of thieves) is targeting the collected works of Thomas Edison, stealing documents and exhibited inventions from around the country. The only clue to the perpetrators is a broken robot, seemingly reversed-engineered from Edisons designs and a single tarot card stained with blood. Now the agents of Tesladyne must find out why Edisons tech is being stolen and re-created before it is used for more dastardly purposes!

Eclipse Phase: What Would You Do? part 1

It was Raymond’s birthday recently, and to celebrate Kim ran an Eclipse Phase game. The player characters are on their way to Thought in near Venus orbit. A subsidiary of Cognite is running experiments there, and they need test subjects.

Part 2 of this adventure will go up next week!

Call Of Cthulhu – Die High: Online Game

A few weeks ago Raymond got to play in another RPPR online fan game, this time a modern day Call of Cthulhu game.
It was Raymond’s first time playing CoC, but he was familiar with the system thanks to his time spent listening to Role Playing Public Radio’s actual plays.

This scenario was run by Aaron and takes place in modern day Chicago. A group of astronomy students are atop a skyscraper, hoping to catch a glimpse at the heavens; when one of them is struck down by a mysterious presence!
Listen in as the players try to discover the truth about what happened to their friend, and what strange entity lurks in the clouds above the windy city. Find out in this actual play of Die High!

This game was only possible thanks to the all the people that support Role Playing Public Radio on Patreon. Raymond is one of them, and if you’d like to show your support for RPPR you can pledge Ross and the rest of his crew some cash over here. Or if you just want to listen to more podcast and actual plays you can find more from RPPR and RPPR actual play by clicking those names respectively.

If you you enjoyed this podcast please like it on wordpress or soundcloud, or leave us a comment. If you want to help Kim and Raymond out, the best thing you could do is share the podcast! It’s how new people discover the site, and it helps us attract more listeners.
