Arcanum Quest episode 4

I’m a little late on posting, but only by 40 minutes (it’s 0040 at time of posting).

We’ve got a fresh episode of our steampunk game, Arcanum Quest!
In this episode we take a lovely trip to a library, and burn down a culturally significant forest…that is also a city. We may or may not have murdered a monarch.

If you’d like to hear more from us and show your support: please like us on facebook, follow us on soundcloud and wordpress, and above all else share our content.

Arcanum Quest episode 3

The 3rd episode of our Steampunk game; Arcanum Quest. This was adapted by Kim from the video game Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. It was pretty fun to play, though at times I got a little frustrated…mostly with the constant back tracking to Tarant (or back Taranting)!

If you liked this please check out our other recordings, and please share it with your friends.

A reminder that when we hit 100 followers on WordPress or Sound Cloud, or 100 likes on Facebook, we are going to do a listeners choice actual play.
You, the Listeners, will be able to send us in suggestions for setting, rules systems, themes, what ever. We’ll pick the ones we like most and then have you all vote on which one we’ll play.

We could do a Numenera game for example…set in the world of Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind!

Arcanum Quest episode 2

In this episode of Arcanum Quest we undertake some INDUSTRIAL ACTION! And someone gets their beautiful face blown off.

It could be a game about a time travelling news crew trying to get the big scoop!

If you like our content please share, it’s really important because it helps new people discover our podcast. Just the other day Kim (the GM of today’s game) shared a link on his Facebook and it doubled the traffic to our site.

Arcanum Quest: episode 1

This is the first episode of six in our Arcanum Quest series.
Arcanum Quest is a homebrew game using the New World of Darkness rules. Kim took the quest line, missions, setting, and dialogue for the video game Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, and he converted it into a table-top RPG for his players. He tried to follow the given path of the game as closely as possible and did an admirable job.

Hope you enjoy this game as much as we did, or even more. Please share it with others.

eCOPse phase: murder at Maddock’s station.

In this new mini campaign/series of one shots, Kim and Will play as Martian rangers, special law enforcement officers that patrol the Martian outback.
This started because we wanted to see how having only 2 players would effect the storytelling dynamic in role playing. Also, any excuse to run more Eclipse Phase.

In this, our first scenario, our rangers, 265balbis77 (Kim) and 265pentagon12 (Wilfred), are given an easy assignment after returning to the job following a leave of absence (for stress reasons). They are sent to provide a little extra security at the week-long founding day festival in Maddock’s station, an event that draws tourists from all over Mars and even offworld. Sadly things get a little complicated for our rangers when someone murders a visitor.

I hope you enjoy this Eclipse Phase game, we had fun playing it. Also, please like, comment, reblog, and especially share our podcasts.

The Crusading Couch episode 3: letting go.

In this episode, we take a crack at the topic of ending stories, campaigns, and  letting go of your characters; both in death and retirement. We didn’t realise how hard this topic would be to talk about until we started recording, but hopefully you find it interesting and entertaining.

News and promotion.

POINT 1
The next episode of The Crusading Couch is going to deal with letting go of characters and campaigns. We’ll be looking at ways of coping with character death, the right moment to end a story (be it a characters, or a campaigns), and a bunch of alternative ways of approaching these topics.

If there is anything you think we should talk about in this topic, please leave us a comment or drop us an email. Hell, if there is anything you’d like to share with us; please drop us a line. You can find our contact info on our about page.

POINT 2
We are just getting started here at [IQH] and we’d love to keep on doing it for years to come. Part of what will make that possible is sharing links to our site, passing around our posts, and helping people find our content. WITH THAT IN MIND: when we get to 100 likes on our Facebook page (or 100 subscribers on WordPress, which ever comes first) Raymond will run a one shot game where you, the Listeners, choose the setting/theme. You want robot alien noir, set in a post World War II Germany; baby, we will make that happen. So PLEASE like, comment, and most importantly SHARE our post.

Turning’s Big Bang episode 10: best-laid plans of mice and men often go astray

The final episode of Turnings Big Bang Season 1. Big action and big drama in this episode as the players fight for the future of Turning and conduits.
I hope you all enjoyed this, I know we did. I look forward to revisiting Turning later this year hopefully.

Next Monday we’ll have the first episode of Arcanum Quest up.
This coming weekend we are also recording a new episode of The Crusading Couch and an Eclipse Phase game.

Please share this around, like and comment on our posts (I’d love to hear from you).
