eCOPse phase: Tiny Town Troubles!

In the second installment of our eCOPse phase series of actual plays our Martian rangers begin to see greater plots moving ahead of them.

In a small terraforming community at the edge of civilisation a young Sufi nomad is being accused of murder!
It should be an easy case to solve, but is there more going on here?
Kurtis (265balbis77) is having troubles at home, his wife wants a baby; Kurtis is unsure.

Can Kurtis avoid a fight with his wife? Is the Sufi kid guilty? What’s going on in this sleepy little town?
Find out in this episode of eCOPse phase.

Eclipse Phase one shot: Homesteading.

A first-in gatecrashing mission out of Pandora leads to a strange discovery.

A mishap with scheduling, and two new players, meant that this scenario ended up being a little more rushed. Still worth listening to, I had a lot of fun doing some character voices.

We’ll be running an online Eclipse Phase game later this month, you can find more info on our facebook page, or our twitter.

The Crusading Couch episode 6: game reviews!

April’s episode of The Crusading Couch is here and ready for the listeners!
This month we tested out a new episode format where we review (for lack of a better word) three RPGs. We outlined their settings, touched on the rules, discussed the various pro’s and con’s of the games, and then suggest who might enjoy these games.

The three games we talked about were: Eclipse Phase, New World of Darkness, and Star Wars: Edge of the Empire.

Reminder that tomorrow is the last day of this months writing challenge. Raymond feels a little behind so he’s got a lot of typing to do today!

Eclipse Phase: Fast Extraction.

This week we’ve got a nice short Eclipse Phase scenario that i just sort of whacked together. It’s a Martian Train heist, to kidnap a Jovian VIP. there are some references to our eCOPse phase games(new one in may).
If you’d rather watch the live stream than listen to it, you can find it HERE.

This is only the second game I’ve ever run online. I’ve played in a couple of online games lately and it removes some of the scheduling issues of a normal in person TTRPG run. This was probably the most linear scenario I’ve ever run, and the shortest; in spite of that i kinda loved it. I hope to run more online games in the future.

If you want to play in one of our online games: like us on facebook, follow us on WordPress, Soundcloud, and Twitter. I’ll try and run an online game every month, and they will be announced on those platforms…maybe we should do a mailing list as well?

ANYWAY: please LIKE, SHARE, COMMENT, FOLLOW, and SUBSCRIBE <3

Eclipse Phase: The Evac

RPPR-Eclipse Phase: The Evac.

A hap hazard group of professionals is put together to help evac some VIPs during the Fall. Who will live, and who will die? More importantly who will look like a total Badass while doing something reckless?

Ross Payton of Role Playing Public Radio recently ran an online game of Eclipse Phase for some of RPPR’s Patreon backers. I got to finally play EP. Needless to say, I was SUPER excited. I had a great time and look forward to more online games. We also might have Ross play in one of our games in the future so keep an ear out for that.

If you enjoyed this, you can find more from RPPR HERE, or listen to some of their actual plays HERE. You can also support them on Patreon by clicking on this link: right here.

eCOPse phase: murder at Maddock’s station.

In this new mini campaign/series of one shots, Kim and Will play as Martian rangers, special law enforcement officers that patrol the Martian outback.
This started because we wanted to see how having only 2 players would effect the storytelling dynamic in role playing. Also, any excuse to run more Eclipse Phase.

In this, our first scenario, our rangers, 265balbis77 (Kim) and 265pentagon12 (Wilfred), are given an easy assignment after returning to the job following a leave of absence (for stress reasons). They are sent to provide a little extra security at the week-long founding day festival in Maddock’s station, an event that draws tourists from all over Mars and even offworld. Sadly things get a little complicated for our rangers when someone murders a visitor.

I hope you enjoy this Eclipse Phase game, we had fun playing it. Also, please like, comment, reblog, and especially share our podcasts.

Eclipse Phase: better luck next time.

in this one shot eclipse phase game Kim, Vorn, and new player James, have to find out what happened to a missing Firewall sentinel. along the way they antagonist an Ultimate, piss off a scum swarm, and have to confront a group of Aztec cultist.

i was inspired to make this game after watching a few music videos that featured gifs and loops that would deteriate and become glitched as the song progressed.

if you like this Actual play please share it. Farewell from the past, I’m Raymond.

Eclipse Phase: when one door closes, another opens.

Our PC are one of Pathfinder corps first-in teams. They are sent through the martian pandora gate first whenever Pathfinder discovers worlds they think will be useful. They thought they were going to a barren rock. They thought they’d just be looking at old ruins. They thought they’d be alone. They thought wrong.

Eclipse Phase is a trans-humanist conspiracy horror RPG. The setting has uplift animals, rogue AI, good guy AI and, most interestingly, interchangeable bodies.

I hope you enjoy this AP. Farewell from the past, I’m Raymond.
